For 10 successful years we lived at 20 Friargate, until 2006 when we left for pastures new. It's taken a while but now we are back and our new home is 9 Friargate (formerly Tonic). We look a little different than the old Fat Cat, but we have a new & exciting menu keeping on the favourites like Marinated Chicken, the same great service, value for money but in lavish surroundings& now on two floors.

Downstairs caters for the everyday foody or drinker. Our loungey upstairs is now open from Wednesday throught to Saturday from 6pm onwards where you can chill, sip a quality cocktail or even dance the night away.

Food & Drink
Food is available all day, seven days a week. Along side our all day menu, we have our monthly changing lunch menu and our sumptuous evening specials. Our hearty breakfasts are served all day and you can feast on the finest Sunday lunch in town. All dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients by our vastly talented chefs giving you a very 'can do' attitude towards our food. So if you would like your food slightly different to how it appears on the menu or if you have specific nutritional requirements then it's not a problem.

The bar plays host to an extensive range of bottled and draught beers, wines from around the globe and stocks numerous spirits. We are renowned for the quality of our cocktails and produce an impressive list that changes with the seasons. If it’s a bit early in the day for a French Martini, we have a selection of hot drinks that can be accompanied by one of our great puddings and cakes

You can find us on Friar Gate, just a short walk towards the city centre from our old home at number 20. We now live at number 9, previously Tonic bar. There is a public car park a few minutes away, and on street metered parking along Friar Gate.
